What is open access publishing?
We believe in open access for readers, your comic will remain free to read on our platform for any reader.
Will I be able to earn money from my comic?
We're currently building a great revenue-sharing model that will let authors earn from selling physical comics of their comics and merchandise that readers can order directly from our site.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
What is the offer for authors?
If you upload your comic to our platform, we'll send you a high-quality print of your comic for free, no strings attached. LIMITED TIME ONLY.
Is it really free?
Yes! We cover the cost of printing and shipping your first comic print as a thank you for joining our platform.
Who can participate?
Any comic creator who uploads at least one original comic series to our platform can claim the free print, regardless of location.
ABOUT THE COMIC SUBMISSION
What kind of comics are eligible?
All genres and formats are welcome — webcomics, graphic novels, single panels, manga, etc. It must be original work that you own the rights to.
Are there any content restrictions?
We don't accept explicit adult content, hate speech, or anything that violates copyright laws.
How do I upload my comic?
Simply create an account, go to your dashboard, and click “Upload.” You'll be guided through the upload process and then into our built-in print editor.
How does the print editor work?
Our built-in editor lets you upload and arrange your comic pages one by one — exactly how they'll appear in print. It's intuitive and flexible, but if you need help, feel free to reach out at info@thecomcraft.com and we'll help you out.
What file format should I use?
We recommend high-resolution image files for each page (+/- A4 300 dpi, RGB). The editor will guide you to ensure your pages are print-ready.
ABOUT THE FREE PRINT
Can I choose the print size?
Yes! During the upload process, you'll be able to select from standard print sizes.
What is the shortest comic I can print?
The shortest recommended length is 12 pages, but if your comic is shorter then that reach us at info@thecomcraft.com.
What is the longest comic I can get printed?
We recommend up to 50 pages.
What if my comic is longer than 50 pages?
Reach us at info@thecomcraft.com to find the custom-made solution for you.
When will I receive my comic?
Once your comic is uploaded, arranged in the print editor, and approved, you'll receive it as soon as production and shipping are completed.
RIGHTS & OWNERSHIP
Do I still own my comic after uploading it?
Absolutely. You retain full ownership and copyright of your comic. By uploading, you grant us a license to display it on our platform.
Can I remove my comic later?
Yes. You can unpublish or delete your comic at any time by reaching us on info@thecomcraft.com.
OTHER COMMON QUESTIONS
Can I upload more than one comic?
Yes! However, the free print offer applies to the first chapter of each of your comic series.
What if I already published my comic elsewhere?
That's fine, as long as you own the rights and the content complies with our guidelines.
Can I sell my comic on your platform?
Yes! We're currently working on a revenue sharing model.
